3 ORIGINS

Viña Concha y Toro owns and operates vineyards in Chile, Argentina and the United States, in which it produces a wide variety of grapes. The excellent weather conditions and diversity of terroirs enable it to produce exceptional wines with a unique character and identity. The company also has its own winemaking and bottling plants in its three countries of origin, as well as an extensive global distribution network.

Argentina

Mendoza, Argentina is a New World wine region that has achieved global renown. Its large temperature variations, due to the combination of its high altitude (more than 900 meters above sea level), alluvial soils, good irrigation, excellent weather and scarce rainfall throughout the year make it an exceptional terroir for producing wine. The alluvial and stony soil with coarse sand and silt provide optimal conditions which favor grape-growing.The vineyards located in Primera Zona, the Uco Valley and Oasis Este enjoy the coolest climate in Mendoza Province, thanks to the cold air from the Andes Mountains, which results in the production of great wines, especially of the Malbec variety.

California

California, United States, is considered to be one of the best wine regions in the New World. It offers a wide variety of soil and weather conditions, with a cool and windy climate due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and frequent fog that contributes balance to our grapes. The wine region of Mendocino is located to the north of Sonoma County, bordered by the California Coast Range, the Pacific Ocean and large redwood forests. As the area is protected by the surrounding mountains, it enjoys a warmer climate. The alluvial soils and proximity to rivers moderate the temperature and enable the production of great wines.

Chile

Chile is the oldest wine producing country in the New World. Its multitude of origins, together with exceptional geographical and weather characteristics, enable Chilean grapes to develop in an optimal way, obtaining aromas and flavors that help us to achieve the highest quality in our wines. The country’s valleys offer an almost infinite variety of topographies, which are determined mainly by their proximity to the Andes Mountains in the east, the Central Valley, or the Pacific Ocean in the west. Viña Concha y Toro has identified and developed wines that are distinctive of their origins in different Chilean valleys, and is always searching for new terroirs capable of faithfully expressing each grape variety.
